Shiri Bartman, M.A., BCBA
Clinical Director

Shiri Bartman has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Shiri has been working with children diagnosed with Autism for almost 10 years in both the public and private sector providing direct service, clinical supervision, staff training, and consultation.

In her work with a wide range of children diagnosed with Autism, Shiri has successfully utilized Applied Behaviour Analysis as well as the analysis of Verbal Behaviour in the programs she has designed.

She has been on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis as the Secretary for four years and is the chair of the annual ONTABA conference. Additionally, she sits on the Seneca College and George Brown College Program Advisory Committees for the Autism and Behavioural Sciences programs.

Shiri has taught several college courses in Behaviour Analysis and has run training workshops for both parents and professionals in Canada, France, and Switzerland. Shiri is currently pursuing her registration with the College of Psychologists as a Psychological Associate.

Jennifer Donnelly
Clinical Coordinator

Jennifer Donnelly is a Clinical Coordinator with Shining Through Centre where her responsibilities include training and supervision of staff and programming for individuals with Autism.

Ms. Donnelly has over eight years of experience working with children with Autism and related disabilities, including direct service, staff training, design and implementation of home programs, and consultation. Throughout the past 8 years, Ms. Donnelly has been utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, with a special emphasis on Verbal Behavior for the last four.

Additionally, Ms. Donnelly has experience working with a wide range of learners. Ms. Donnelly is a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst who is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Applied Disability Studies from Brock University.

Ms. Donnelly has worked within the Intensive Behavioral Intervention program with children with Autism for five years, four of which was as a Supervisor with the Geneva Centre for Autism. Ms. Donnelly has developed and presented courses and workshops for schools, parent groups, and professional organizations in Canada, France and Switzerland.

Currently, Ms. Donnelly is also an associate of Establishing Operations Inc. where she works as a VB consultant providing consultation services in the US, Canada and England under the supervision of Mrs. Holly Kibbe and Mrs. Cherish Twigg. She has also co-facilitated various verbal behavior workshops with Mrs. Kibbe and/or Mrs. Twigg.

 

 
 
Dalena Anzivino
Supervising Instructor

Dalena Anzivino is a Supervising Instructor Therapist at Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism.

Dalena began her career working as an Instructor therapist for a home based program as well as the Geneva Centre, while completing her undergraduate degree from York University. She has worked with individuals with autism for over six years, utilizing the principles of ABA with a special emphasis on Verbal Behaviour.

Dalena went on to George Brown College where she completed a post-graduate program in Autism and Behavioural science. Dalena has received ongoing training from various board certified professionals including Holly Kibbe, BCBA, Jennifer Donnelly, BCABA, and Shiri Bartman, BCBA.

Dalena has experience in the teaching profession, working for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and is currently pursuing her Masters in Applied Disabilities Studies from Brock University. She hopes to become a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in the near future.

 

Taryn Walsh
Supervising Instructor

Taryn Walsh is a Supervising Instructor Therapist at Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism. She has over seven years of experience working with children with Autism and utilizing the principles of ABA with an emphasis on Verbal Behaviour.

Taryn began her career providing home-based IBI services during her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. She graduated with a B.Sc. with Honours in Psychology, and went on to complete a post-graduate program in Behavioural Science.

Prior to joining Shining Through, Taryn worked as an Instructor Therapist for four years, and spent one year as a Lead Therapist in Geneva, Switzerland. She has completed the provincial ministry training in IBI, has attended a wide variety of workshops, and has received ongoing supervision by various board certified professionals.

Taryn is a Board Certified Associate Behaviour Analyst and is currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Applied Behaviour Analysis through St. Cloud State University.

 

 
Karla Colaguori
Supervising Instructor

Karla Colaguori is the Senior Instructor Therapist at Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism’s Beecroft Campus. Karla graduated from George Brown College with an Advanced Diploma in Behavioural Science Technology and is currently pursuing her B.A. in Psychology at York University.

Karla has been working in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) for 4 years and began her career providing home-based IBI services for children with Autism. She has had experience with a variety of learners ranging from 2 to 40 years of age of different populations within different teaching settings. Karla has had the opportunity to develop and conduct Functional Assessments and Behavioural Interventions which she was able to implement and oversee throughout her studies.

Karla worked at Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism for one year prior to spending 7 months as a Lead Therapist at OVA in Geneva, Switzerland, where she was supervised by Jennifer Donnelly, BCABA and Shiri Bartman, M.A., BCBA. She has returned to Shining Through Centre to continue providing services for children with Autism, utilizing the principles of ABA with a special emphasis on Verbal Behaviour.

Karla has attended a wide variety of workshops and has received training from various board certified professionals. She hopes to pursue her Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis in the future.

 

Instructors

Our instructors are well trained and knowledgeable in child development with either a university or college education in psychology or other related field.

All instructors undergo intensive training in the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and effective teaching strategies in the forms of both didactic and hands-on work and subsequent regular on-site training at Shining Through.
