10th Annual Spinning for Autism

Spinning-Logo

The 10th Annual Spinning for Autism event is taking place on Sunday January 14th, 2018. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and much needed funds for the Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism. It is run entirely by volunteers, parents and community members who believe that together they can make a difference for children living with Autism.

Over the past nine years over 170 participants have come out to spin in support of this worthy cause, raising in excess of $450,000 for the Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism.

Shining Through is very grateful for the ongoing support of Raffaela Bozzato and her efforts in bringing autism awareness to our community.

We Are Happy To Share That Our Long Time Friends Of The SMTA And Electronics Manufacturing Industry Have Selected Shining Through Centre Once Again As The Benefactor Of Their Annual Golf Tournament

We are pleased to have survived another year and are able to present the 20th Annual SMTA - Electronics Industry Golf Tournament in conjunction with the Shining Through Centre for children with Autism.  Did he say 20th yes I did but don’t worry you still look great.

This is the official 20th year of this golf tournament, we welcome back the SMTA to help celebrate the 20th year and we want to make it special but need your help to accomplish this.

I would like to thank everyone for their generous prize donations and all who participated in previous events.  As this is the 20th Annual our goal is to make this year’s event more successful than previous gatherings, this is definitely not possible without the continued generosity of everyone.

All who participated in last year’s tournament (social gathering) had a spectacular time, especially those who have never golfed before.  It is a scramble format again so we guarantee a great time get your group together.

We need the generosity of everyone to make this event as successful as past outings, any prizes, donations and participation is greatly appreciated.

Attached is a registration form, prizes can be sent to my attention at the address below or please call and I will arrange for a pick up.

Again this is the 20th year so let’s get as many people out as possible, thank you in advance for your generosity.

18th Annual Gala Fundraiser Was An Outstanding Success

Our 18th Annual Gala Fundraiser, held on March 3rd, 2017 at the Embassy Grand Convention Centre, was an outstanding success and a fun filled night with over 1200 attendees.  Thank you to everyone who joined us and made such a great night possible.

This year's Gala was another incredible night including dinner, drinks, and exceptional entertainment.  Our President Fred Santini's speech and the Shining Through video presentation were profound and were well received.  There was a special guest appearance by former Maple Leafs Captain Doug Gilmour, who posed for pictures as well as signed jerseys, which were later auctioned off.  There were also incredible auction prizes, which can be seen below.  Seize the Day was another huge success with many people enthusiastically donating to help support STC and pay for a child's therapy.

We would like to say thank you to our wonderful and dedicated families, friends, staff, and volunteers.  We also thank the Gala committee and the Board for their great vision and direction.  We have a group of people here who got together and helped make miracles happen and helped these children get the programs and education they need to thrive and grow.  Our centres would not exist without all of the people who support us and believe in us.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The Gala Committee, Board of Directors and STC would like to thank Stefano Pucciano from Phantom Imaging, who once again donated his time and expertise to creating our wonderful video that was shown on the night of the Gala, and Robbie Belmonte from Photography by Robbie, who once again donated his time and expertise to take all the great photos for the Gala.

Please pass on Stefano or Robbie's contact information to anyone who you may know that is looking for video/photography services:
