Donation Amount

There is no set donation amount, we will be happy to accept whatever you are willing to give. However, we recommend a donation of $2-$5 per guest and a minimum donation of $200 to receive a custom gift card or tag.

The learners of the Shining Through Centre for children with autism enjoy expressing their unique personalities, emotions and experiences through art. Selected pieces from the children’s artwork are being collected and printed as greeting cards, available for sale through our website and select retailers.

Shining Through cards are created by the kids, in collaboration with professional artists who volunteer their time to help our children express themselves through art.

By introducing this new program, Shining Through aims to showcase the impressive talents of our learners, increase awareness about autism and raise funds to enable the centre to continue providing vital, life changing therapy to as many children as possible.

The benefit to the children of STC is straight-forward. Because of a developed strategic partnership with these retailers, Shining Through is able to take part in a charity re-imbursement. Thus, when you buy any pre-paid card through the STC Gas and Groceries Program, our centre immediately receives a percentage of the value of your card. In other words, when you buy a grocery or gas card from us, our partners send us an additional amount of money as fundraising revenues, at no cost to you and with no effects on the value of you card.

We all purchase groceries and gas. The STC Gas and Groceries Program has been specifically conceived and designed for you and your whole network to be able to support our centre, without being taxed beyond the scope of regular life. It is simply one of the most effective ways we now have at our disposal to simply carry on with our lives, while simultaneously helping the Centre run and provide our children with world-class therapy.

The Shining Through Centre would like to let everyone know that Raffaela Bozzato will be holding the 4th Annual Spinning for Autism event on Sunday January 15, 2012. As in previous years, the event will take place at the Al Palladini Community Centre located at 9201 Islington Ave. in Woodbridge. Any parents (or family/friends) interested in participating can contact Lucy Alfenore for a pledge sheet.
The event will run every hour between 1pm – 7pm. Participants will spin for 1 hour. In order to participate, a minimum of $100 in pledges must be collected.

For those of you that are new and not familiar with this phenomenal event, we encourage you to participate. This event is a lot more than just spinning, its also an incredibly fun afternoon spent with friends, doing something wonderful for Shining Through. In addition, what a great way to kick off your fitness routine for the new year.

Last year, Raffaela raised over $31,000 for the centre and we would love to help her do it again.
